Wycombe Town AFC (Under 18s) - 2012/13

I am delighted to have Mark on board this season as this brings a wealth of football knowledge from which the players can only benefit from.
With over 20 years of youth coaching between us, we expect a high work rate both at training and on match days.
The last few season we have tasted a mixture of successes and failures but the spirit of not giving up is stronger than ever.
Both Mark and I have seen the players develop and it's a great pay back for all those hours coaching.
We both enjoy managing and coaching the U18 squad and especially to see the development of the squad into good players. We have a talented squad of players to work with and most have been together for over 6 years and so they know each other very well. We have been the nearly team for the last two seasons and so we are both convinced that this squad of players will enjoy being part of a winning team and the silverware that comes with it.
I am a F.A qualified coach and both Mark and I are trained First Aiders, but what makes the team is that there is a great parent involvement at all levels and long may this continue.
As a team we are dedicated and committed. We work hard at training and ensure that we put anything that is wrong right, and then put this into practice on match days. We try to play good open passing football using the many different talents within the squad.
Here's hoping that we have a great season.

Training
Our regular training session is on a Saturday morning at The Misbourne from 11.00am sharp until 12.30pm, and on a weekday evening whilst the light holds. Parents and players will be advised in advance of each session.
Please make sure all players come to training fully prepared with the following items, labelled where appropriate:
- boots (or trainers in summer) & shin pads
- water bottle
- jacket, hat & gloves all in a bag (depending on the weather)
- a big smile!
Training starts on Saturday 8th September. We train every Thursday at Lightning Park from 6:30 sharp until 8pm.
