I've been involved with AFC Lightning for nearly 7 years. I have known and seen most of these lads mature into great young players. The lads have great team spirit and thoroughly enjoy their football. We've had great fun along the way with highs, lows and frustrations, playing and training in some cold, wet and occasionally hot weekend mornings!
Coaches - Daniel Ing, Mark Andrews & Keith Bark
I am very fortunate to have a great team with me - my assistants (Back row left) Daniel, Mark (in the middle) and Keith (on the far right) who are brilliant with the lads, great coaches and who are generous with their time. They too have an incredible passion for the game.
So, in no particular order this seasons squad - Jake W, Kieran O, Joseph C, Jordan B, Harry Cau, Ben M, Harry S, Dylan I, Luke P, Alex D, Luke A, Harry C, Louis, George H, Camara G.
Training
We train every Saturday morning (and throughout the summer) at Lightning Park from 9:15 until 11:00am.
Please make sure all players come to training fully prepared with the following items, labelled where appropriate:
- boots (or trainers in summer) & shin pads
- water bottle
- jacket, hat & gloves all in a bag (depending on the weather)
- a big smile!
Training starts on September 8th.
