Welcome to AFC Lightning
We are a family-friendly local football club based at Great Missenden in South Buckinghamshire, playing and training in the beautiful surroundings of The Misbourne School in Great Missenden (U6s to U12s), at Lightning Park in Cryers Hill (U13s to U16s) and at Amersham Town FC (U18s Youth Team).
We have over 200 children playing in our various teams, aged between 5 and 18 years old. Since forming in April 2005 - formerly we were called AFC Holmer Green - we've made great progress in establishing ourselves as one of the region's clubs, welcoming players (boys and girls) of all abilities and from all areas.
We are affiliated to the Berks & Bucks FA and play in the South Bucks Mini Soccer Conference (U7s to U10s), the Wycombe and South Bucks Minor Football League (U11s to U16s), the Bucks Girls Football League (U15s) and the High Wycombe Sunday Football Combination (Youth). We are an FA Charter Standard club and all our team managers are certified to at least FA Level 1.
